Eleanor’s Cafe Reopens at CASI

Why: Celebrate recent expansion and renovation

Eleanor’s Café at CASI is open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Typical menu items include coffees, homemade soups, sandwiches, and salads. Special seasonal treats include ice cream sandwiches.

The Café renovation was made possible by generous donations from Modern Woodmen, Riverboat Development Authority, Per Mar Security, and an anonymous donor.

About Eleanor’s Café:
Originally opened in 2006, the café was dedicated in memory of Eleanor Duffy who was a revered board member at CASI. Eleanor and her husband John Duffy started Per Mar more than 50 years ago in Davenport, IA.

About CASI:
Dedicated to serving seniors in the greater Quad Cities area, CASI boasts daily activities, classes, community forums, a fitness center, and educational activities. CASI has a professional staff dedicated to the advocacy of seniors and all issues facing our aging population. Additionally, CASI operates Jane’s Place, the only adult day service facility in eastern Iowa. Jane’s Place serves seniors with early onset dementia, Alzheimer’s, or those who need socialization. Jane’s Place also provides caregiver respite.
