Per Mar Security Services Receives 2018 Community Service Partnership Award

DAVENPORT, Iowa – Per Mar Security Services, a leading provider of total security solutions for residential and commercial clients based in Davenport, IA, is pleased to announce it was a recipient of the “2018 Community Service Partnership Award” from the Everest Metro Police Department for supporting its local K9 unit. The award was started two years ago to recognize those in the community who make consistent efforts to support the mission of the Everest Metro Police Department.

For the last eight years, Per Mar’s Wausau Branch has held a Dogs for Dogs event to raise money for Everest Metro and Marathon Police Departments’ K9 programs, which are self-funded. Police officers bring their canines to the Dogs for Dogs event to meet the public, and the Per Mar team spends the day grilling food for them all to enjoy. Per Mar’s Wausau branch also holds jeans day fundraisers to raise additional funds for the K9 programs. Per Mar matches the funds raised from the Dogs for Dogs event and the jeans days fundraisers dollar for dollar.

Bryan Thacker and Lindsey King of Per Mar’s Wausau branch accepted the “2018 Community Service Partnership Award” on behalf of Per Mar at a banquet on February 27, 2019. Captain Rob Dickerson of the Everest Metro P.D. presented the award saying, “Per Mar has donated thousands of dollars over the years and we could not keep our program running without this type of public donation. These types of events are what makes Per Mar part of the community and we commend the Wausau Branch for their “dogged” pursuit of that concept.”
