Peace of Mind with a Little One on the Way

Having grown up with my parents running a security company, I have of course always had a security system, and never really thought twice about it. It was second nature to set the alarm when I was leaving or going to bed, and to know everything was secure.

Once I bought my own home, I put in a security system right away, and never miss a day of using it. It has saved me in a break-in situation, as well as woke me up in the middle of the night when there was a fire. The countless benefits are a no-brainer in my mind. My husband works crazy hours, and I know he has piece of mind because the alarm is always set when he leaves.

Now that we are expecting our first child soon, it reminds me of new benefits that will be provided that I never had to think about before. With a new little person in the house, the fire alarm becomes that much more important to me. Stuff is stuff, but being alerted in the case of a fire is a matter of life and death. And when I am up in the middle of the night for all of those feedings, I will be glad to know my home is secure, so that’s one less thing I need to worry about.
